Henni is a professional graphic designer and hobbyist game developer, running her own type foundry. When she first encountered Godot, she was in the middle of researching how to make typography look better in games. She couldn’t get over how great Godot’s toolkit was for achieving that.
As a trans-woman and professional in the design field, Henni brings a unique perspective to game development, focusing on accessibility and inclusive design practices. Her expertise in typography and graphic design has led her to explore how Godot’s font support can be leveraged to create more readable and accessible game interfaces.
At GodotFest 25, Henni will lead a workshop on UI typography and accessibility best practices, sharing her findings on how to make text work effectively on screen and how Godot can be used to achieve better readability in games. The workshop will cover accessibility considerations, basic design principles, complex use-cases, detailed typography techniques, and the exploration of OpenType features within Godot’s toolkit.
